Scope This position will offer the opportunity to be closely linked into the executive suite of Fort McMurrays newest oil sands upgrader, CNRLs Horizon Oil Sands Project, supporting one of the VPs will offer true job satisfaction. As a shareholder of the company, you will directly impact your success and the success of this project
The Upgrading business area of the Horizon Project is responsible for adding commercial value to the Bitumen using commercially proven processes to transform bitumen into a light sweet synthetic crude oil. The VP for Upgrading provides strategic and operating direction to five separate operating teams. Key Areas of Contribution:
Provide clerical support to the VP. Maintain and organize calendars and schedules, organize tasks for the VP; Coordinate internal and external meetings; Generate and distribute agendas, meeting minutes and reports; Keep track of the vacations and sick permissions of personnel in all the Upgrading areas; Act as Administrative Secretary of the Upgrading Emergency Response Organization; Formatting and editing of documents, as required; Set-up and maintain files for the team; Create PowerPoint/Visio presentations; Maintain the logs of letters, transmittals and confidential information; Be a contact person for any administrative correspondence for the Upgrading Unit; Coordination, collection & compiling of departmental data, as required by the VP, on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis for departmental and executive reports & briefings; Travel arrangements for the business unit as required. Qualifications
Formal administrative training and a minimum of 8 years experience would be preferred. Industry experience in oil and gas, engineering, construction, heavy industry or large industrial plants will prove to be an advantage. Local hires preferred. Personal Qualities
